Demonstrators Interrupt President’s Speech in Charleston

Pro-Hamas activists call for a cease-fire, President Biden promises conversations with Israel.

Pro-Gaza demonstrators interrupted President Joe Biden’s speech in Charleston, South Carolina on Monday, where the president was commemorating the lives of nine people killed in a mass shooting that occurred at the site in 2015.

The activists chanted “cease-fire now” as they were escorted out by event security for their disruption.

Supporters of President Biden chanted “four more years” in response to the pro-Palestine protesters. The president waited for silence to return before assuring attendees that he was working behind the scenes to address their concerns.

“I understand their passion,” President Biden said. “And I’ve been quietly working with the Israeli government to get them to reduce and significantly get out of Gaza.”

As the Lord Leads, Pray with Us…

  • For the president and his foreign policy advisors as they engage in discussions with Israel about Gaza.
  • For the peace of Jerusalem and for the leaders in Israel, and allied nations, to be discerning.
